I stopped developing my drawbot because I don't have enough experience to make more optimized algorithms.
I once tried to make an algorithm that would find edges of the same color and make a closed shape using the fill tool, but it was too complicated

one optimization i recommend which I have been trying to add to my own drawbot is not only using horizontal lines but also vertical lines where it makes sense
